Definitions
Consignor – The sender of goods
Consignee – The receiver of goods
Consignment – An order placed through Paramount Logistics Ltd using a recommended and trusted pallet / parcel network,
Contract – The contract of carriage between the customer and the carrier.
Kerbside – The driver will not deliver the pallet into your property, they will deliver kerbside. they will not collect from inside your property,
Restricted Access – Narrow roads, not suitable for an 18 tonne / rigid vehicle.
X-Label – Crossed labelled. Pallets which have the wrong delivery label on them and are sent to the wrong delivery address.
Our Customers
Paramount Logistics Ltd is a freight forwarder, we do not collect or deliver your freight, all consignments booked through paramountlogisticsltd.co.uk is done so by using our contacts / accounts with our recommended and trusted networks.
It is the paying customers responsibility to make sure all information is correct and pallet / parcel size weights are accurate, any mis declared consignments will be charged to the paying customer.
We require a full address, contact names and contact numbers for both the collection and delivery points, we cannot accept PO Box addresses.
Pallet deliveries are made kerbside, the delivery drivers will not deliver inside the property or collect from inside the property.
It is the paying customers responsibility to check access restrictions when placing any bookings through paramountogisticsltd.co.uk, ,most pallet deliveries are made in an 18 tonner / rigid vehicle, if the delivery drivers are unable to gain access to your road / address, the delivery / collection will fail and will incur a re-collection / re-delivery charge which will be passed to the paying customer.
When placing an order through Paramount Logistics Ltd it is the paying customers responsibility to label the pallets / parcels correctly, Paramount Logistics will not take responsibility for any x-labelled pallets / parcels, the cost will be passed to the paying customer to rectify if they have labelled incorrectly.
Dangerous Goods
Dangerous goods must be declared by the customer, if the carrier agrees to accept them for carriage, they must be classified, packaged correctly, labelled and have the correct documentation, failure to declare this information which results in the failure of the delivery / collection, no refunds will be given.
Please read the knowledge hub attachments, any prohibited items sent through our recommended networks and incur damages or get lost, will not result in a claim against the networks or Paramount Logistics Ltd.

Loading & Offloading
All drivers will be equipped with a manual or electric pump truck and each vehicle will have a tail lift if ticked when making the booking, all oversized pallets and pallets weighing over 1 tonne in weight must have a forklift on site or enough manpower to offload, this is not the responsibility of the driver, the network or paramountlogisticsltd.co.uk.
Signed POD / COP
All of the drivers are required to take an image and obtain a signature when making a delivery, either manually on their paperwork or electronically on their App. Should you the customer require a signed COP (Customer Own Paperwork) the COP box must be either ticked or selected ‘Yes’ when making the booking and also the paperwork must be uploaded at the time of the booking. Should you request this after making the booking it will not be guaranteed.
Same Day Collections
The collection cut off is 11:50am for a same day collection, any bookings made after this would be moved on to the following day unless agreed with paramountlogisticsltd.co.uk
Cancellations
Any cancellations must be notified straight away, if under 24 hours notice is given and the collection has been scheduled, we cannot guarantee a refund will be given. Please contact info@paramountlogisticsltd.co.uk
Timed Deliveries / Collections
Timed deliveries are not guaranteed unless booked as a service through our recommended networks, the networks delivery and collection times are between 08:00am – 6pm Monday to Friday, Saturday deliveries are a premium service and a surcharge will apply. Should the paying customer request specific opening / closing times in the special instructions but booked om an all day service then the special instructions will be a request and we will endeavour to meet the times requested but this will not be guaranteed, if failed a re-delivery / re-collection charge will apply.
All time deliveries carry a 30 minute window. Example – Customer books an 11AM timed delivery, our delivery members will have until 11:30AM to complete the delivery.
Pallet Deliveries / Collections
It is the paying customers responsibility to ensure the pallets are stacked and palletised correctly using the correct size pallet base, please do not use American style pallet bases as they will not be able to be moved with a pump truck and this will cause delays and a failure which will incur re-delivery / re-collection charges which will be passed to the paying customer. The pallets will need to be on a hard even surface The driver can also refuse to deliver or collect if they feel unsafe or at risk.
RDC (Regional Distribution Centre) deliveries will incur a timed delivery charge.
Bagged freight must be palletised correctly, failure to secure properly will result in your claim being dismissed, if unsure please email info@paramountlogisticsltd.co.uk
Book In deliveries – Our delivery members will book in deliveries once the pallet has been collected and will arrange a day (Monday to Friday).
Westfield deliveries will be booked in by our delivery members.
FORs deliveries will incur a surcharge to deliver to sites.
Please make sure when placing a booking through Paramount Logistics Ltd you check opening times if we are collecting / delivering to a company, this is not the responsibility of Paramount Logistics Ltd
Economy deliveries can be attempted day 1 or day 2 unless booked as an Economy Timed service.
Empty pallet bases are not part of the delivery, the driver will not take these away unless agreed with Paramount Logistics Ltd, there will be a charge.
Vehicles used – Luton Van, 7.5 tonne, 18 tonne, Urban or Artic.
Restricted Access – Delivery / collection points with narrow / restricted access must tick the restricted access box when placing a booking through Paramount Logistics Ltd, if restricted the pallet will be delivered in a Luton Van or a 7.5 tonne lorry, if restricted access is not ticked and the delivery / collection fails this will incur a re-delivery / re-collection charge.
Failed Deliveries / Collections
Paramount logistics Ltd will communicate with you the paying customer if there is an issue at the delivery or collection point, it is not Paramount Logistics Ltd responsibility to ensure your customers are home and ready for collection or to receive their delivery, the responsibility is of the paying customer to notify consignor / consignee of delivery dates and times. Should a delivery or collection fail as no one home, a re-delivery / re-collection charge will be applied to the paying customer.
Our delivery / collection members will wait for 20 minutes at a delivery / collection point, if the pallet has not been accepted or handed over they will notify us and will move on if they paying customer has not been able to resolve, this will incur a re-collection / re-delivery charge.
Should the paying customer want to stop a delivery and reschedule for another day and the pallet has been loaded onto a delivery vehicle taking up space, a re-delivery charge will apply.
Delays
Paramount Logistics Ltd does not accept responsibility for any delays to consignments sent with the carrier. Some areas of the UK will have delays due to the distance and connection times such as Scotland and Devon, our networks will deliver as quickly as possible but may require an additional 24 hours. Paramount Logistics Ltd will also not take responsibility for any vehicle breakdowns or driver shortages, Paramount Logistics Ltd will keep you up to date.
Ireland / International Deliveries
Please visit the knowledge hub before sending freight to Ireland or internationally, Paramount Logistics Ltd will not cover any customs charges, VAT or Duty, this will need to be paid by the paying customer or consignee, Paramount Logistics Ltd will pass over any additional charges to the paying customer, it is the paying customers responsibility to ensure all correct documentation is correct and completed and to ensure the consignee is aware of duties / taxes to be paid before receipt of delivery.
Force Majeure
Paramount Logistics Ltd shall have no liability to the other party if it is prevented from or delayed in performing its obligations under the Agreement or from carrying on its business by acts, events, omissions or accidents beyond its reasonable control, including strikes, lock-outs or other industrial disputes (whether involving the workforce of the Supplier, the Client or any other party), failure of a utility service or transport network, act of God, war, riot, civil commotion, malicious damage, compliance with any law or governmental order, rule, regulation or direction, accident, breakdown of plant or machinery, fire, flood, or storm (a ‘Force Majeure Event’). Should the Force Majeure Event continue for longer than one month (or such other period as the parties may have expressly agreed in writing), the party adversely affected shall have the option of terminating the Agreement immediately without further liability other than such liabilities as have already accrued up to the effective date of termination.
Liability
Paramount Logistics Ltd will not accept liability for any indirect or consequential loss due to delays, force majeure or network issues. X-labelled pallets / parcels by the consignor will be passed to the paying customer as will mis-declared consignments. Paramount Logistics Ltd will not accept any customs charges, duties, taxes or any other additional charges for deliveries in and out of Ireland and internationally, Paramount Logistics Ltd will refuse any claims for loss or damage for prohibited goods or mis-labelled goods. Liability is limited to the cost of carriage. Paramount Logistics Ltd will not be liable for loss of contracts, profits or earnings
Claims
All claims must be emailed to info@paramountlogisticsltd.co.uk within 5 working days of delivery due date, all claims are subject to a £100.00 excess fee.
